Projects
Duplicate and remix
Make your own copy of a project, a template or a shared project, and move projects between workspaces.
A copy is a new, independent project. Changes in the copy never touch the original.
What you can do
- Duplicate a project you are working on, from the editor.
- Remix a project from the projects page or a template from the gallery.
- Move a project to another workspace.
Duplicate a project
Open the project menu
In the editor, open the Project menu and choose Duplicate project.
Name the copy
Enter a name for the copy.
Choose what history to keep
Turn on Keep git history to include every previous commit and the version history. Leave it off to start the copy with a clean history.
Clone
Choose Clone Project. The copy opens as a new project.
Shopify stays with the original
A connected Shopify store is not copied. Reconnect your store in the copy to manage it there.
Remix
- From the projects page: open a project's settings from its card and choose Remix this project.
- From Templates: choose Remix on a template. See Templates.
Move to another workspace
Open the project's settings from its card and choose Move to workspace. This changes which workspace owns the project. The project owner stays the same.
