Launch on a custom domain
Publish your app, connect a domain you own, add the DNS records, and finish with SEO, sign-in redirects and analytics.
This guide takes your app from the editor to your own domain, such as example.com. Custom domains need the Pro plan.
Before you start
- A domain you own, and access to its DNS settings at your registrar.
- The Pro plan. See Plans and credits.
Get ready for visitors
In Settings > Project > General, set the Site Title, Description, Favicon and Social Preview image. See SEO.
Publish
Choose Publish in the top bar. Check the address, review the security check, and publish. Fix any security finding before you go further. See Publishing.
Add your domain
Open Settings > Project > Domains, choose Custom, enter your domain and choose Set up.
Add the DNS records
Copy the TXT and A records from Configure DNS into your registrar's DNS settings. For example.com, Lyna gives records for both @ and www. Remove any old A or AAAA records for the same names.
Check DNS
Choose Check DNS. When it shows DNS verified, Lyna issues the certificate and the status turns to HTTPS active. DNS can take up to 48 hours: if the check fails at first, try again later.
Finish the setup
- Sign-in: if your app has sign-in, add your domain to the redirect URLs in Users and auth.
- Payments: if you use Stripe webhooks, check that the endpoint still points to your function.
- Analytics: open Analytics to see your first visitors.
- Badge: hide the Lyna badge in Settings > Project > Domains > Branding if you want.
After launch
Each time you choose Update, both your Lyna address and your domain get the new version. Follow each publish in Deployments.
