Comments
Pin comments to elements on the canvas, reply in threads, resolve them when done, and comment on public projects in the Explore gallery.
Comments let you and your team discuss a design right where it is. Each comment is pinned to an element on the canvas and opens a thread.
What you can do
- Pin a comment to any element on the canvas.
- Reply, edit and delete messages in a thread.
- Resolve a thread when it is done, or reopen it.
- Filter threads by Open, Resolved or All.
- Copy a link to a thread.
Add a comment
Turn on comment mode
Choose Comment in the toolbar, or press M.
Click an element
Click the element you want to talk about. Type your comment and send it. A marker appears on the element with the author's name.
Follow the thread
The Comments panel on the right lists every thread. Use the switch at the top of the right panel to move between the chat and the comments.
Work with threads
| Action | How |

| Reply | Open a thread and write in Reply.... |
| Resolve or reopen | Resolve in the thread. Resolved threads move to the Resolved filter. Reopen brings one back. |
| Edit or delete a message | The message menu: Edit or Delete message. |
| Delete a thread | The thread menu: Delete thread. This deletes every message and cannot be undone. |
| Share a thread | The thread menu: Copy link. |
Threads with messages you have not read show an unread count.
Comments on the phone
On a phone, the editor lists comments in a sheet. Open a thread to read and reply, or add a comment.
Comments in the Explore gallery
Public projects in the Explore gallery have their own comments. Signed-in people can comment, reply, like or dislike a comment, and report one that breaks the rules. Sort them by Popular, Newest or Oldest.
